Then comes the day Julias mother gets diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and Julia is left even more lost and directionless than ever before. After road tripping to California with friends, she drifts between odd jobs, sells Kirby vacuum cleaners, dates homeless guys, parties way too much, falls in love with a heroin addict and makes all sorts of questionable decisions. Julia wonders if shell ever be a normal, happy person. Shes got anxiety, identity, low self-esteem, and relationship problems for days. All shes ever known is change so she keeps on moving from one job, apartment, and grand scheme to the next. Eventually, Julia stumbles (a bit late) into adulthood and somehow ends up manifesting true love, a pot of gold, and a spiritual awakening.
